A leopard was today killed after being knocked down by a vehicle on the Chandrapur-Mul road under the Chichpalli Range of forests, a senior forest official said.
The carcass of the leopard was found lying on the Chandrapur-Mul road, around 18 kms from here, he said.
The incident could have taken place in the wee hours, the officer said, adding a case was registered against unidentified persons.
