Maha: Man attacked, robbed of Rs 7.8 lakh

A 45-year-old employee of an

industrial unit was attacked and robbed of Rs 7.8 lakh at Jalna MIDC in Maharashtra on Wednesday, police said.

The incident took place at around 12 pm when the victim Alam Pathan and local industrialist Vishal Daad were about to enter the premises of an industrial unit, an official said.

Pathan, who was carrying a bag containing Rs 7.8 lakh cash, was attacked by four unidentified men with iron rods, he said.

The unidentified men snatched the bag from Pathan and fled the scene, he added.

Pathan was rushed to a private hospital, where is undergoing treatment, he said.

 

"The police are examining CCTV footage from the area and are in the process of registering a case at Chandanzira police station," deputy superintendent of police Sudhir Khiradkar said.
