Maha man beaten up for refusing to chant 'Jai Shri Ram'

A man was beaten up here for allegedly refusing to chant "Jai Shri Ram", police said Friday.

Police said a hotel employee, Imran Ismail Patel, was returning home in the wee hours Friday when about 10 hooligans intercepted his bike, snatched his keys and forced him to chant "Jai Shri Ram".

Madhukar Sawant, Police Inspector at Begampura police station, said, "We have received a complaint in this regard and are looking into the matter.
