Justice Bhushan Gavai of the Supreme Court Sunday inaugurated an additional building of the District and Sessions Court in Akola in Maharashtra.
On the occasion, Justice Gavai called the Constitution the country's sacred book and termed providing justice as sacred work.
"It is the responsibility of the judiciary to work for establishing social and economic democracy in the country," he said.
Among those present were Justice RK Deshpande of the Bombay High Court, Akola Principal District and Sessions Judge Y G Khobragade and Maharashtra Minister of State for Law and Judiciary Ranjit Patil.
