Maharashtra government today announced appointment of a committee, headed by a retired judge of Supreme Court, to study the technical and legally complex issues faced by properties governed by the Urban Land Ceiling Act, which was repealed nine years ago.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis informed Legislative Assembly that properties governed under the Act are facing complex difficulties as section 20 was saved while repealing the Act.
"The panel will study the legalities and suggest us the steps to be taken to deal with these cases," he said.
