Maha promotes 19 IAS officers

While Principal Secretary in CMO A K Jain has been promoted to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Secretary to Chief Minister, Nitin Kareer, as Principal Secretary. Another IAS officer who is promoted as Principal Secretary is Ashish Kumar Singh, Mantralaya officials said.

Apoorva Chandra, currently Joint Secretary in School Education department under Government of India, has been offered the rank of principal secretary if wishes to shift to Mumbai, they said.

Other bureaucrats promoted to the rank of Principal Secretary are Maharashtra Transmission Company (Maha Transco) Managing Director Arvind Singh, Additional Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal corporation (BMC) Rajiv Jalota, Director General of Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (Yashada) Sanjay Chahande and Commissioner of Tribal research and training institute Rajesh Kumar.

 

Those elevated to Secretary-rank included MahaGenco Managing Director Ashish Sharma, Sugar Commissioner Vijay Singhal, Animal Husbandry Commissioner Eknath Davale, Women and child Welfare Commissioner Rajendar Chavan, Secretary of the Education Cess Committee Padmakar Gaikwad, Fisheries Managing Director Shivaji Daund, Aurangabad Municipal Commissioner Purshottam Bhapkar and Director of Municipal administration A L Jarhad.

Chief Officer of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) board Niranjan Sudhanshu and Wardha Collector Naveen Sona have been promoted to the selection grade of IAS.

Meanwhile, Y E Kerure, Joint Secretary (Labour), has been promoted to the rank of Secretary and transferred as Dairy Development Commissioner.
