A teenage girl was stabbed to death Tuesday afternoon in Maharashtra's Amravati district in a case of unrequited love, police said.
Arpita Thakre (19) was returning from coaching classes around 2:30pm when a man identified as Tushar Kiran Mhaske (22) stabbed her multiple times, a Rajapeth police station official said.
"She was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead on arrival. Mhaske has been arrested and charged with murder. Preliminary probe has revealed Mhaske was in a one-sided love affair with the victim," said Inspector Kishor Suryavanshi.
