Maharashtra government will construct 29,000 houses for police officials and personnel and invite a bid for it after elections to local governing bodies next year are over, state Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil said today.
"Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has recently took the review of the condition of houses for police and decided to go for construction of houses," Patil told PTI.
He said that Guardian Ministers of each district in the state should personally visit the residential colonies of police staff and provide necessary facilities to them.
