Maharashtra Government will soon announce a new policy to support women entrepreneurs considering their growing number in small-scale sector, state Industries Minister Subhash Desai said here today.

"The new women entrepreneur policy will be announced with an aim to make new opportunities available to women," the minister said at a function here.

He inaugurated an exhibition "Prerna" organised by the city unit of Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MACCIA).

"Women are working in almost equal number with men in small-scale industries. Government will provide them plots of land. A rubber cluster is being set up at Aurangabad for women," he said.
