Senior Maharashtra Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar on Friday claimed there were irregularities in land acquisition for the Rs 3000-crore quadrupling of Dhule-Solapur Road.
He alleged that area of land acquired for the work was inflated for more compensation, and said politicians and officials were involved.
"Last month, I wrote to the government seeking a high level probe. But there has been no response. Why is government unwilling to act? Are those involved in looting the government belonging to the ruling party," Wadettiwar, who is Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly, asked.
