Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan will attend the two-day South Asian Speakers' Summit starting tomorrow in Colombo in Sri Lanka on achieving the sustainable development goals.
Promoting regional parliamentary cooperation for sustainable, equitable and green economic growth, is the theme of the third edition of the summit.
Besides Mahajan, representatives from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka will deliberate on the subject.
Mahajan will be accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Bhubaneshwar Kalita and Lok Sabha Secretary General Snehlata Shrivastava, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said in a statement.
An outcome document will also be adopted after the conclusion of the summit.
