Lok Sabha Speaker and local MP Sumitra Mahajan will dedicate Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) Centre here on May 18, fulfilling the long-standing demand of government employees.
"Mahajan will dedicate the CGHS centre being set up at Malcolm Quarters in Navratan Bagh area on May 18. Union Health Minister J P Nadda will chair the function," Central Government Employees Welfare and Coordination Committee's secretary Madhukar Pawar said.
Nearly 10,000 employees, their kin and pensioners will get benefit from the facility. Two doctors and as many pharmacists and nurses were appointed at the centre to provide basic treatment facility to the CGHS beneficiaries, Pawar said.
In order to provide treatment for serious ailments, number of private hospitals will be roped to cater to the needs of the patients on the prescribed rates, he added.
