A private bus fell off a bridge in a river in Bhiwandi tehsil of the district, police said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ganeshpuri) Vishal Thakur told PTI that as per preliminary report the incident occurred at around 5 pm when the bus was proceeding on the Saitan bridge near the Ambadi village.
He said police and rescue teams were rushed to the spot and further details like the number of passengers inside the bus were awaited.
