Maharashtra power minister and Nagpur district guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule today said the state government will help set up 40 gymnasiums ('vyayamshala') in every district to promote the Indian-style wrestling.
An amount of Rs 7 lakh will be provided for setting up the gymnasium and another Rs 7 lakh for equipment, he said.
Bawankule was speaking after inaugurating the 59th edition of 'Maharashtra Kesari' wrestling championship at Chitnis Park stadium in Mahal area here this evening.

The prestigious tournament is returning to Nagpur after 28 years. The winner will be awarded the Maharashtra Kesari title, a silver mace and Rs one lakh.
The title-bout will be played on Sunday evening.
