Maharashtra govt transfers 6 IAS officers

Maharashtra government today transferred 6 IAS officers including former Mumbai civic chief Sitaram Kunte who was recently given the charge of state environment department.

Kunte has been transferred to Finance (Expenditure) from environment department. This is his second transfer in this month.

Finance Secretary Shrikant Deshpande is going to UN on a special posting and hence Kunte has been transferred at his place, an official release said.

Principal Secretary of Irrigation department Malini Shankar has been given charge of Environment Department in place of Kunte.

Shrikant Singh from Planning will head Housing department.

Satish Gavai who was handling housing department will take charge of Irrigation department as the Principal secretary, the release added.
 

In the Planning Department Sunil Porwal will take charge.
