The Maharashtra Government and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority will set up a joint task force to explore and facilitate investment in key infrastructure projects in the State.
The suggestion came from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during a meeting with the Authority representatives here today. The meeting discussed prospects of investment in the State.
"The Chief Minister directed that a joint task force be set up to explore investment possibilities in mega projects like Maharashtra Samruddhi Corridor, metro, Navi Mumbai airport and Smart City," an official from his office said.

The visiting Abu Dhabi officials sought details of investment projects in the State.
"The State Government officials made a presentation on Nagpur-Mumbai knowledge corridor, metro, Navi Mumbai airport and Smart City project. They explained efforts being taken by the State Government for attracting investments in these projects," he said.
The delegation told the Chief Minister they will positively consider investing in the State, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Fadnavis said to boost investment, his government has made changes in the industrial policy and taken steps to improve ease of doing business. In the last six months, Maharashtra has received 50 per cent of the investment coming in the country.
Maharashtra is the most favoured destination for investment and it provides good opportunities to Abu Dhabi to park its money, the CM said.
