About 2,87,622 registered graduate-voters in the Nagpur division are set to exercise their franchise in the Maharashtra State Legislative Council polls from the graduates constituency tomorrow, official sources said here today.
The BJP's Anil Sole who is incumbant city mayor in the BJP-run Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), a local college principal from the Congress-led alliance Babanrao Taiwande and Kishore Gajbhiye, who is a former IAS officer who was Divisional Commissioner, Nashik as well as Commissioner for Tribal Development in Nashik are among prominent candidates in the fray.
The Nagpur division comprises the six districts of Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli.
Ballot papers to the respective District Returning Officers (collectors) have been dispatched, sources said.
