BJP MLA from Bagodar, Nagrendra Mahato, today sought the intervention of Jharkhand government as well as the Union External Affairs Ministry to bring back over 38 labourers hailing from Bagodar in Giridih district, who are allegedly kept in confinement by a company in Malaysia.
Mahato today appealed the state government as well as the Centre to take appropriate action in bringing the labourers back from Malaysia, where they had been working since December 2014.
The labourers were hired through a contractor and engaged in a company named SG Cable Transmission Line in Malaysia, but were not given food properly and their passports were seized by the contractor, Mahato alleged.
