Mahindra Group has launchedits firstWomen Leaders Program (WLP) in order to bridge the gender gap in the workforce and build mid-level women leadership pipeline.
"Only when we create aninclusiveecosystem that brings in people withwide-rangingbackgrounds and perspectives into all parts of the organisation, can we driveholistic,positive change.
"WLP willhelptalented women in the organisation transcend perceived limitations and achievetheir full potential," Mahindra and Mahindra EVP, Group Human Capitaland Leadership Development, Prince Augustin, told reporters here.

The WLP is focused on advancement of women in the workforce and will look to encourage and support women employeesin the middle management cadre, he added.
It proposes a unique professionaldevelopment journey spanning18 months specially designed tohelp participants develop competenciesneededto advance into future leadership positions.
The program is aimed at women between 30-40 years with 5-7 years work experience and two years in any Mahindra Group company, he said.
One per cent of the Group's profit will be spent on this program, Augustin added.
At present, Mahindra Group has 7 per cent gender diversity in mid-level and 17 per cent overall.
A USD 17.8 billion multinational group based in Mumbai, Mahindra employs over 2,00,000 people in over 100 countries.
