Home-grown auto major Mahindra and Mahindra on Monday reported a 68.97 per cent jump in total tractor sales at 30,562 units in September.
The company had sold 18,087 units in the same month in 2015.
Domestic tractor sales rose 70.27 per cent to 29,035 units in September as against 17,052 in the year-ago month, the company said in a statement.
Exports during the month also rose by 47.53 per cent to 1,527 units compared with 1,035 in the same month a year ago, it added.
On sales outlook, M&M President and Chief Executive, Farm Equipment and Two-wheeler Division, Rajesh Jejurikar said: "We expect the good momentum to continue with the upcoming festive season and the effect of a good monsoon.
