Maikhuri to study design of assembly buildings for Gairsain

Uttarakhand government will study the design of Assembly buildings in other hill states before preparing its final map for construction of the proposed Vidhan Bhawan at Gairsain in Chamoli district.
A five-member team led by Uttarakhand Assembly Deputy Speaker Anusuya Prasad Maikhuri will go on a tour of hill states for the purpose on March 4, Maikhuri said here today.
The team will tour Agartala, Kohima, Aizawl, Shillong, Imphal, Gangtok, Shimla and Dharamsala to study the design and other technical aspects of the assembly buildings there and prepare a model for the proposed Vidhan Bhawan at Gairsain, Maikhuri said.
The team includes an engineer, an architect and a town planner of the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) which has been entrusted with the task of implementing the Vidhan Bhawan project at Gairsain, he said.
 
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna laid the foundation stone of a Vidhan Bhawan at Gairsain on January 14, saying at least one session of the House will be held there annually.
