Main accused in fake currency case surrenders

The main accused in a case of seizure of fake currency with a face value of Rs 1.18 crore surrendered before a local court here today, police said.

Sundar surrendered before the 7th judicial magistrate here today, even as a special police team had gone to kerala in search of him, they said.

He was remanded to custody till June 20 and lodged in the central jail here.

Two persons - Ananth and Kithar Mohammed - have already been arrested after fake notes in the denomination of Rs 2,000 were seized from them a couple of days ago.
