Police arrested the main accused in the shootout between two groups of truck operators two days back, which left one guard dead and two others injured.
Kuldeep Singh alias Kingu was arrested when he was trying to flee towards Punjab via the Ravi river in Kathua belt, a police officer said today.
A special team constituted by SSP Kathua had after the incident arrested four persons Harbans Singh, Manmohan Singh alias Kawa, Deepak Raj and Ankush Paral from Govindsar and other parts of Kathua, the officer said.

Kuldeep Singh was absconding, and a raid was organised in different parts of the state, the officer said, adding that his bank accounts were freezed and a lookout notice was being issued, when he was arrested.
An excise guard was killed and two others injured when members of truckers union resorted to firing following a clash between them in Kathua on September 16.
