Police has arrested Rajaratnam Issac, one of the prime accused in a sensational case where five people were murdered on Thursday, the police said.
Talking to reporters here today, Kadapa DSP Rajeswar Reddy said that Rajaratnam, who was head of the family, tried to hide the murder of his daughter-in-law Mounika and later encouraged his son as well as others to commit more murders to misguide everyone, including the police, about the mysterious disappearance of his son Krupakar, daughter-in-law Mounika and his three grandchildren.
The DSP said that Rajaratnam should have averted the deaths of his son and grandchildren, if he had informed the murder of his daughter-in-law Mounika, who was killed by her husband Krupakar, to the police.
The DSP also alleged that Issac supervised the burial of dead bodies of his son and grandchildren.
Meanwhile, district authorities have cancelled Rajaratnam's gun license, the DSP said.
