With the World Cup fever still on the higher side of the mercury, comic-caper Damadol director Manoj Michigan plans to make a film on the Bengali's love and passion for sports.
"The passion and involvement of every ordinary Bengali with World Cup matches, the undying East Bengal-Mohun Bagan rivalry running through ages in families, can sure be documented in feature format for future generations. There is a historicity to it," Manoj, having recently finished work for his Raima-Saswata starrer 89 told PTI.
Manoj was talking on the sidelines of Spice Hotspot event held to commemorate the current World Cup and the Kolkatana's craziness.
The mainstream-realistic genre director, who also wants to do a full-fledged sports film roping in known, dependable faces of Tollywod, said, "Any sports movie by me has to be on the lesser kinown popular rural sports.
