Prices of maize and barley eased by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to reduced offtake by consuming industries against adequate stocks position.
Marketmen said adequate stock position on higher supplies from producing regions against sluggish demand from consuming industries mainly pulled down maize and barley prices.
In the national capital, maize and barley fell by Rs 50 each to Rs 1,450-1,500 and Rs 1,350-1,360 per quintal, respectively.
