Maize and barley extended gains for the third day and prices rose by another Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market following increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said rising demand from consuming industries against tight supplies from producing belts mainly kept maize and barley prices higher.
In the national capital, Maize and barley gained by another Rs 10 each to Rs 1,350-1,355 and Rs 1,560-1,570 per quintal, respectively.
