Prices of maize and barley moved up to Rs 25 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to increased offtake by consuming industries.
However, other grains held steady in restricted deals.
Traders said increased offtake by consuming industries amid restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly led to the rise in maize and barley prices.

In the national capital, maize and barley rose by Rs 20 and Rs 25 to Rs 1,300-1,305 and Rs 1,625-1,635 per quintal respectively.
