Maize prices fell by Rs 10 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today on sluggish demand against sufficient supplies.

However, other prices moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said sluggish demand against sufficient supplies from producing regions mainly helped maize prices to trade lower.

In the national capital, maize declined by Rs 10 to Rs 1,400-1,405 per quintal.
