Maize prices fell by Rs 50 per quintal in lacklustre trade at the wholesale grains market today due to fall in demand from consuming industries against adequate stocks position.
Elsewhere, other grains including wheat and rice continued to trade at previous levels on some support.
Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries against adequate supplies from producing belts mainly kept led to the decline in maize prices.
