Amid pickup in demand and fall in arrivals from producing belts, maize prices rose by Rs 25 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today.
However, other grains held steady in thin trade.
Traders said pickup in demand from retailers against tight stocks on restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly weighed on the maize prices.
