Maize prices rose at the wholesale grains market here today on the back of pickup in demand from retailers.

Elsewhere, movements in other grains remained narrow due to absence of any worthwhile buying or selling.

Marketmen said some demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts helped maize to rise.
