Maize prices moved up by Rs 20 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on pick up in demand from consuming industries.
However, other grains held steady in thin trade.
Traders said besides uptick in demand from consuming industries, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to rise in maize prices.
In the national capital, maize went up by Rs 20 to Rs 1,530-1,540 per quintal.
