Maize rabi prices came down by Rs 25 to Rs 1,110 per quintal in futures trade today as participants liquidated bets amid a weak trend in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, maize rabi for delivery in May contracts traded fell by Rs 25, or 2.20 per cent, to Rs 1,110 per quintal, with a business turnover of 440 open lots.

Marketmen said offloading of positions by traders triggered a weak trend in the physical market leading to the fall in maize rabi futures.
