In restricted activity, maize prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal on the back of pick-up in demand at the wholesale grains market today.

Elsewhere, wheat, rice and other grains continued to trade at previous levels in the absence of worthwhile activity.

Traders said rise in demand against restricted arrivals from producing regions led to the gain in maize prices.
