Maize prices moved up by Rs 10 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today due to increased demand from consuming industries.
However, other grains including wheat moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries against restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly led to rise in maize prices.
