Maize prices strengthened by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today following increased demand from consuming industries.
However, other grains including wheat and basmati rice moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries mainly supported the upside in maize prices.
