In restricted activity, maize prices were up by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on pick up in demand.
However, other grains moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said increased demand from consuming industries against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly strengthen maize prices.
