Punjab minister Bikram Singh Majithia today said that AAP leader and MP Bhagwant Mann is not aware about the "basic democratic values".

"Bhagwant Mann is not aware of the basic democratic values and is very childishly suggesting Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to leave politics," Majithia said here.

He said that Mann should realise that people has chosen Parkash Singh Badal to become the Chief Minister of Punjab not once or twice but record five times.

While terming Mann's statement as unwanted, Majithia said that "whenever finger is pointed on Bhagwant Mann, he himself claims to be elected representative of people, but may be he forgets that Parkash Singh Badal is also an elected representative."

The state Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister said that before issuing such childish and frivolous statements, Mann should learn the basic democratic values.

He said that day is not far when Aam Aadmi Party will be swiped off from the national political scene because they have failed to fulfil the promises made by them during the Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections.

Taking an aim at PPCC President Partap Singh Bajwa, Majithia said that it is for the first time that the PPCC president is not even allowed to talk openly.

"Bajwa is the weakest president of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee so far," he said, adding that Bajwa has failed miserably to garner support of his party leaders and workers.

He criticised Congress party's announcement of not letting the Vidhan Sabha to function properly. "Vidhan Sabha came into existence so that issues related to people could be discussed there and not to boycott it.
