A fire broke out at the office of a travel agency at Manipal causing extensive damage to the office and adjoining shops, police said.
The fire, which was caused by short ciruit at the agency's office spread to the nearby refrigeration and AC repair shops and an ATM counter.
Fire service personnel who rushed to the spot, doused the flames. The total loss in the fire was estimated to be around Rs 15 lakh, police said.
The two electronic goods repair shops suffered the maximum damage as almost all the equipment kept there were destroyed in the fire, they said.
