The 152 police officers transferred and posted by the Jammu and Kashmir Government include 32 IGPs, Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs).
All the 11 police officers promoted to the rank of IGPs from DIGs have been posted along with the newly promoted seven DIGs from SSP rank.
Transfers and postings were affected for 49 SPs and 71 Deputy SPs.
The state cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here last night, ordered transfer and posting of 81 officers, while Director General of Police (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda ordered the transfer of 71 Deputy SPs.
IPS officer Alok Puri, who was DIG Administration at Police Headquarters (PHQ), was promoted as IG and posted as Managing Director (MD) J&K Police Housing Corporation on an available vacancy.
IGP (P&T) PHQ Sheikh Owais Ahmad, holding additional charge of the post of IGP Technical Services, has been posted as IGP Technical Services on full time basis.

Hemant Kumar Lohia, IGP Traffic has been transferred and posted as Director Special Service Group (SSG), which post is declared equivalent to the rank and status of IGP till held by the officer.
Abdul Ghani Mir, DIG Central Kashmir Range (CKR) Srinagar on his promotion as IGP has been posted as IGP Crime against an available vacancy.
Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria, DIG Vigilance on his promotion as IGP has been posted as IGP (Personnel) PHQ in place of Sheikh Owais Ahmad.
Sunil Kumar Sharma, DIG Criminal Investigation department (CID) Jammu, on his promotion as IGP has been posted as IGP in place of Kumar Gupta.
Yoginder Kaul, DIG Crime J&K, on his promotion as IGP has been posted as IGP Home Gaurds and Civil Defence (HG/CD).
Muneer Ahmad Khan, DIG North Kashmir Range, on his promotion as IGP, has been posted as IGP Traffic J&K in place of Hemant Kumar Lohia.(more) PTI AB
