Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed today ordered for a comprehensive survey on homeless low income group families and economically weaker sections to have a fair assessment on the actual requirement of residential colonies in Jammu and Kashmir.
While giving this directive to the state's Housing and Urban Development Department, Sayeed also laid emphasis on providing well laid out roads, schools, hospitals, malls, parks and other basic amenities.
"As a matter of policy, a portion of flats should be earmarked for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Low Income Group (LIG) families," he said.
