Maharashtra and Gujarat, the two BJP ruled states are competing with each other at the India International Trade Fair here, with the former pitching for 'Make in Maharashtra' and the latter selling 'Gatisheel Gujarat' credo.
Gujarat pavilion showcases the 15 sectors of 'Make in India' in Gujarat. It claims that state is rated as the most preferred investment destination in India by the World Bank and has attracted major investments in various industrial sectors viz., pharmaceuticals, dyes & chemicals, automobiles, food processing, renewable energy, electronics, power and many more.
The pavilion also showcases 'Vibrant Gujarat,' Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Make in India' initiative under which it has displayed Honda Scooters, Asia's largest scooter manufacturing facility in the state.

The neighbouring state of Maharashtra has displayed 'Make in Maharashtra' with a theme based on Bollywood. The state has launched a parallel scheme to Centre's 'Make in India' initiative under which it has been inviting domestic and foreign companies to invest in the state.
The India International Trade Fair is on from November 14-27.
