Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet thinks make-up is "liberating".

The 39-year-old "Titanic" star revealed that she loves to get all glammed up as it makes her feel "confident and feminine", reported Femalefirst.

"Wearing make-up can make a woman feel confident, feminine and celebrated - and I think it also brings a sense of liberation," she said.

The actress, who won the Oscars for best actress for her role in "The Reader", also revealed the secret method she uses to keep her skin glowing and ready for the cameras.

"Fresh air does wonders for my skin so I keep a window open in my room at night for a little bit of breeze. I try to get as much sleep as possible, and drink plenty of water too," she added.

Her love for these natural skin-enhancing methods has meant Winslet has banned herself from getting Botox.

"Well, it's definitely happening on the old face, that's for sure. The wrinkles are here and they're here to stay," she said previously.
