Male-centric reboot of "Ghostbusters", starring Channing Tatum, is not happening, according to writer-producer Reid Carolin.

Carolin indicated that there are no plans to make the untitled new "Ghostbusters" movie as "it's too complicated", reported Ace Showbiz.

"No I don't think so, I think it's too complicated. There's a lot of things going on with that brand and I just feel like it's over-saturated," he said.

The spin-off was apparently going to be written by Drew Pearce ("Iron Man 3).

There were rumours doing the rounds that Chris Pratt was going to star alongside Tatum in the movie, but the "Jurassic World" star shot down those rumors immediately.
