Male nurse from Kerala found dead in MP

A 35-year-old male nurse was found dead under mysterious condition near railway track under Koh-e-Fiza police station area, police said today.

Sunish PG, originally hailing from Idukki in Kerala, working with Jawaharalal Nehru Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (JNCHRC) here was found dead with multi-injuries near railway tracks yesterday, area inspector Suryakant Awasthi said.

"We are waiting for postmortem report and a case has been registered and investigations are underway," the inspector added.

Sunish, a leader of hospital workers, used to stay alone in the JNCHRC campus but yesterday morning he moved into a hotel near railway station, his friend Shibu A told PTI.
 

He was secretary of JNCHRC workers' body affiliated to Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) and had been active in seeking information under RTI Act relating of hospital where he worked, Shibu said.

Sunish had come down to Bhopal some 11 years ago and had been working with JNCHRC since last 6 to 7 years, he added.

His brother Sujith PG, has come here from Kerala, Shibu said adding that the body of deceased is being taken to his native place.
