Press Trust of India New Delhi
Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal today called for creation of a "joint strategy" between central and state governments for better "execution" of initiatives.

"There is a need for creation of a joint strategy between central and state governments for better understanding of problems and execution of initiatives," Maliwal said at the launch of "Gift her Education" programme initiated by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Under the programme, CII will be educating 100 underprivileged women from slums through special classes for eight months in three locations in Delhi, with support from its members.

The three locations where this programme will run are Bharat Vihar JJ Colony and Kakrola Village in West Delhi's Dwarka area and Sanjay Amar Colony in East Delhi's Vishwas Nagar.
