Malka edges up on retailers demand

Malka prices were up Rs 100 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today on scattered demand from retailers.

Traders said pick up in retailers demand mainly pushed up malka prices.

In the national capital, malka local and best quality were up Rs 100 each to Rs 7,900-8,250 and Rs 8,000-8,300 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad Rs 8,400-9,000, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 9,400-9,600, Urad best Rs 9,600-10,200, Dhoya Rs 10,000-10,300, Moong Rs 6,600-7,300, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 7,400-7,900, Moong Dhoya local Rs 7,400-7,700 and best quality Rs 8,200-8,300.

Masoor small Rs 6,800-7,400, bold Rs 6,800-7,400, Dal Masoor local Rs 8,000-8,100, best quality Rs 8,100-8,200, Malka local Rs 7,900-8,250, best Rs 8,000-8,300, Moth Rs 5,800-6,100, Arhar Rs 9,400-9,600, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 10,800-10,950.
 

Gram Rs 4,800-5,500, Gram dal (local) Rs 5,150-5,350, best quality Rs 5,250-5,550, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,130, Rajdhani Rs 2,130, Rajma Chitra Rs 4,700-6,300, Kabuli Gram small Rs 4,500-6,900, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,000-5,200, Peas white Rs 2,775-2,800 and green Rs 2,775-2,875.
