West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee today inaugurated a Rs 200-crore plant of Siddhart Birla-promoted Xpro India at Barjora in Bankura district of the state.
The plant would manufacture import-substitute die-lectric capacitors used in the manufacture of electronic and electrical capacitors using state-of-the-art equipment imported from Germany, the company said in a statement.
KBC Bank of Germany, SBI and its associates extended financial assistance for the project, it said.
The company said it was the single largest investment made by it.
