West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today took oath along with her cabinet colleagues as members of state Assembly.
Pro-tem Speaker Jatu Lahiri administered the oath to Banerjee and other MLAs of five districts- North 24 Parganas, South 24 parganas, Hooghly, Howarh and Kolkata.
State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee was elected deputy leader of Trinamool Congress legislative party. TMC MLA Nirmal Ghosh was elected as the chief whip of the TMC legislative party. MLA Tapas Ray was elected as the deputy chief whip.
MLA Tapas Ray was elected as the deputy chief whip.
Senior Congress leader Abdul Manan, CPI(M) leader Sujan Chakraborty too took oath as MLAs.
